TreasuredScrapbooking Week 4
This is my last layout for the contest. It was an ad inspiration challenge. It also had to be a multiphoto layout, have stamping on the layout, and 5+ eyelets or brads.
Now that this is over, I am looking forward to the Scrappy Party at SD4U. Come on over during the month of March to party with us!

March kit part 2
Here is my third layout. This is Kylie, my neice Ella, and Payton.
I used the pink cardstock that I cut the circle out of for the first layout as the base for this layout. I filled it with one of the great pattern papers from the kit. The brown lace is from an older kit. I ran the letters and the cream cardstock through my cuttle bug for that great Swiss dot pattern. I sanded the dots on the cardstock to reveal the lighter core of the cardstock too!
I sanded the edges of my photo and the edges of the small circles for a bit of distressing.
This is my 4th layout that I can share (I have a couple more things, but they are for the newsletter!)I used the pink cardstock that I cut the circle out of for the first layout as the base for this layout. The cardstock and pattern paper are from the kit. The letters are Making Memories from the new Chloe's Closet line. The Petaloo flowers, leaves, and trim are from my stash. That diamond paper is 5+ years old. Its from some old DCWV stack that I found in my cupboard. I edged the sides of the diamonds with glossy accents. Even though this layout is simple, I absolutely love it, and so does Payton!
Sorry about all the shadows on this one. I should retake the pic.
SO what do you think? I'd love some comments and feedback!
If you want to buy this kit, head on over to the scrapbookdeals4u store. Here is a link! http://www.scrapbookdeals4u.com/shop/ You will love this kit! Martha always does the greatest job with putting everything together.
My March kit - part 1
Scrapbookdeals4u March kits go on sale tomorrow. I was able to play with the Secret Garden kit this month and its very beautiful. The "B" side of the papers are just as beautiful as the front side too! The Dream Street letters are a lot of fun. Since they are white there is a lot of possibility to dress them up.
Here is my first layout.
This is Kylie with my parents on her baptism day. My mom made her dress. I used a brown glimmer mist on the letters. Then I heat embossed them with UTEE. There are 3-4 layers on each letter. I also sewed on my buttons! It was oddly satisfying to finally do that!
Here is a close up of the letters and buttons.
The center circle is crinkled and sanded to reveal the lighter core of this fun cardstock.

My second layout is a blatant lift of Nicole's layout with the other kit. You will have to check the boards to see her layout!
This is Wade saying no to the camera! Actually, I think he is trying to grab it.
Here is a close up of these letters.
I glimmer misted these with a color called Patina. These are the ones I used the Glossy Accents on. I love that stuff. I also put GA on the leaves of the rub-ons and on the scalloped circle spots.
I edged the scallops with my stardust pen. That scallop paper was pulled from my stash.
Stay tuned for 2 more layouts.

Three More Layouts
This one is inspired by this week's sketch at 52 Sketches, Julie Bonner's super fun site! I used Fancy Pants, Heidi Grace, and Pink Paislee supplies.
This layout is for a monthly challenge at Treasured Scrapbooking. Pinky created the sketch. Here is the thread for the sketch

WeKitUNot Challenge
WeKitUNot is a fun blog challenge site that focuses on using monthly kits. The challenge this month was to emboss on a layout or 2 cards.
I created this layout just for this challenge. I wrote on the journaling card then ran it through my Cuttlebug.

Treasured Scrapbooking: We Love Our Members Week 3
Straight from the website, here are this week's directions:
Now who wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of a moonlight serenade from his/her sweetheart? I want you to use the lyrics and music to my favorite song of all time- Moonlight Serenade by Glenn Miller- for inspiration!!
Watch this for the music- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZmB988vvSI
And here are the lyrics that were written later by Mitchell Parish-
I stand at your gate and the song that I sing is of moonlight.
I stand and I wait for the touch of your hand in the June night.
The roses are sighing a Moonlight Serenade.
The stars are aglow and tonight how their light sets me dreaming.
My love, do you know that your eyes are like stars brightly beaming?
I bring you and sing you a Moonlight Serenade.
Let us stray till break of day
in love's valley of dreams.
Just you and I, a summer sky,
a heavenly breeze kissing the trees.
So don't let me wait, come to me tenderly in the June night.
I stand at your gate and I sing you a song in the moonlight,
a love song, my darling, a Moonlight Serenade.
Your challenge requirements-
1. You must use part or all of the song lyrics somewhere on your layout.
2. You must include something on your layout that has been in your stash for at least 6 months. When you upload your layout, please be sure to notate in the description what you used to meet this requirement.
Anything else goes, so let your creativity shine!!!
And here is what i created.
The black ribbon and the word stickers (summer and shine) are the old items from my stash.

Friday Night Cropping
So I haven't been to a scrapbook crop outside ofmy house for a very long time. I forgot how much fun that is! I also forgot how much I could get done if I focused just on pages and not the computer, TV and working on the pages!
Last night I cropped with my good friend Martha and some of her cropping gals. I only knew two of the other girls from before, Amy and Holly. I met them at CHA. It was great to meet the other girls too!
So here is what I got done last night.
This is a double page kit from the store we cropped at last night. Its their Valentine's layout class featuring Fancy Pants paper. I wanted the paper so I decided to just do the kit. I think it turned out really cute!
This page is for the sketch over at 52 sketchs, 52 weeks, #6
This one is for the Feb sketch contest at SoCalScraps.us
This is for Inspired Blueprints Sketch #9
This one was just for fun because I had this cute picture of my grandparents from last weekend at my cousin's wedding and all these scraps of SR paper. I love this layout even though it is simple.
This layout is a lift of the lovely and super talented Denine Zielinski. Here is a post on her blog about lifting herself. Go see the layouts that inpired this one HERE
I think I was able to get so much done because I had a plan. I brought sketches and ideas for pages to complete rather than just going without thinking. lesson learned: a little planning goesa long way.
