My November Kit Reveal-Simple Pleasures
This kit was a joy to work with! I love my layouts. Since I am in the middle of moving and unpacking, I have not got pictures on my layouts. Those will come though. Here are my kit projects!
These kids are some of my kids' cousins. Their last name is Bird. How cute are those little birdies there in place of their name?
And my favorite

I teased about the Boo blocks in my other tutorial so I had to make them! I did not use the paper I said I was going to use though. I used the BoBunny paper. Here are some pictures of how to make these blocks.
Start with 3 blocks of wood. Mine are 5 x 3.25 and about 1.5 inches thick. I got the piece of wood at Home Depot, they cut it down for me, and then I brought them home and sanded them. I then painted them with a glossy black paint.
I glue down my solid cardstock. I used a green from my stash.
Then layered over my BoBunny printed paper.
I added the orange cardstock and striped papers down the left side of each block and added a 7 Gypsies word strip.
Then I cut letters with my Cricut, ran them through my Cuttlebug, and glued them to the blocks.
Next I took the BoBunny stickers, trimmed them a bit to fit better on the blocks, and adhered them with pop dots. Then added Kaiser bling to the blocks for a little extra oomph!
So here are the finished blocks:
They are really simple and so fun to make. I get together with my girlfriends and we have a blast putting them together. We actually gave this set to a good friend that didn't make our first set with us and she LOVED them!!! We have made red, white, and blue USA blocks for the 4th, FALL, BOO, HOME, JOY, and HO HO HO so far. We are teaching a class in 2 weeks to a group of ladies and we will be making JOY and Ho Ho Ho there. Should be fun!

Kit Close Up-Wiggly Eyes
Martha include some really cute and fun wiggly eyes with the Halloween Mega kit.
See them there!
I was so excited to play with these. I've never actually used wiggly eyes on a layout before, although I have seen them used and thought they were adorable! Now having done so, I want to run to the store and get more. I loved them! They were easy to stick on with a dot of glue and they transform the little characters into the most adorable little guys!
Here is how I used them -
You know how you get those beautiful papers with large designs on them and you aren't sure how to use them? You don't want to cover it up, but should you cut it out or work around it or just go ahead and layer over it or . . . ? I sometimes get stuck with what to do with these kind of papers.
The Halloween kit had a few of these papers. The design was adorable and I really wanted it to stand out. I found a sketch that I could use with a lot of white space
(pagemaps of course!)
and placed my picture so a lot of the background would show in the white space. To make the background images stand out even more, I added the googly eyes. Now these bats where so cute to begin with. The eyes just really help them to pop off the page!

That was one of the Fancy Pants papers. There was also a Bo Bunny paper with a big design on it.
I really wanted to use the paper as is, without cutting. If I cut the ghosts out I would loose some detail, like the little spiders and the web and the title. I could have used more wiggly eyes here, but I already used what I had on my first layout. I decided to stickle the spider eyes and ghosts to help them pop. I also cut around a tiny part of one ghost that was going to get covered over.
It is hard to see the sparkle in the photos, but its there!
There is one more paper with a large design on it. Its by Fancy Pants.
I think I will cut this up to make some "Boo Blocks." I'll post them when I am done!

2 More
Here are 2 more layouts I did with this kit!
Another Halloween layout. I used the sketch over at http://magpieclub.blogspot.com/ for this layout. I love the results too!
I know I have used this picture over and over but I have 4 kids and had to make them each a layout for their individual books. I should just make one family album!
and I wanted to do a layout that wasn't anything Halloween with the kit. Here it is:

My SD4U Halloween Mega Kit Projects
SD4U has 3 great kits this month and I got to play with the Halloween Mega kit. I've created a bunch of stuff so far. This kit is packed!!!
My first project is this gift bag. Its folded from one piece of 12 x 12 paper! The directions were on the Cosmo Cricket blog last week or so. Its so cute and easy!
This first layout is mostly Bo Bunny Boo Crew products with a little 7 Gypsies and Thickers too.
My wall hanging project using the Fancy Pants journaling cards.
More layouts!
I still have a few things to take pictures of too! I'll post those pages soon. Thanks for looking.
