Welcome to your 5th stop on the Paper Secrets Holiday Blog Hop.
I made this to share with you today. Its a layout combining the old with the new. This is MME Lost and Found Collection Portabello Road (which is brand new) mixed with Kaiser Kraft's old winter line. I'm not even sure of its name, but it is at least 3-4 years old. There is also a Maya Road shear and a Basic Grey little birdie too. I find it is really hard for me to combine lines, but I love it when I do!
These are my 3 oldest kids when we were in Utah for Thanksgiving. These California kids never see snow so they were really excited to finally get to touch snow! It really made us all excited for Christmas and wintertime. All of us, except the 3 year old. This is what he was doing while the big kids played:
He couldn't quite figure out how to play and keep the mittens on. (And he didn't want me to take his picture!)
Don't forget to leave a comment on all 25 blog posts and then 1 final post in the forum for your chance to win 1 of the 3 gifts Paper Secrets is giving away.

My Minds EyePortabello Road Scrapbook Daisies November 2010 Kit
I went a little crazy with this month's kit! lol I made so many projects from this one kit and I love what I have now. The paper is so beautiful and the layouts come out just gorgeous! Check out the kit details here: Scrapbook Daisies November Kits
Here is my first layout. I think this is actually the last one I made. This is a close up of Wes when he was tiny. This is for the color challenge. My color pop is the trim. My title is from my stash (a really old MME title). I also got a package of the matching brads and pearls from Scrapbook Daisies to add to my projects. The zig zag piece on the left of the photo is cut from the packaging of the trims.

Handsome
My next project is This layout of Wade. It says, "You are so fun to hang out with. You are happy and funny and love all things boy! You love legos, trios, your cars, and climbing. You love your cartoons too. I'm just glad I get to home with you all the time!" I've added the velvet Thickers from my stash. The flowers and brads are from that package I bought. This is based on a Julie Bonner sketch too.

Celebrate
I couldn't resist using the tear strip from the papers with the paper line name on it with these photos. How perfect is it that it says Lost and Found! lol The silver chipboard is an older piece of Pink Paislee chipboard covered with stickles. The title is an old MME rub-on rubbed on to a piece of the packaging from the "Cute" banner that comes in the kit. This one is based on a sketch from the MME blog.

My Little Prince
This line is so perfect for little boys, but I wanted to try to use it for something slightly different. Here is a baseball layout for Weston. The banner says "My Catcher." I was inspired by Michele's cut out banner and decided to cut mine out too! (Thanks for the inspiration Michelle!) Everything is inked with creamy brown chalk ink to pull in that baseball dirt color! This is based on a sketch over at The Scrappiest.

My Catcher
Aren't little kids so tech savvy now? Here is Wade with my iPhone! He knows how to find his games and play them. It keeps him happy for a moment in time and I can get something done! This is the first layout I made with the kit and it got me on a roll! I added the PP chipboard cloud shape and the JilliBean Soup corrugated alphas from my stash. I sprayed the letters with a mist and I love how it gets trapped in the valleys of the letters.

iPhone Photo-Op
This layout is based on Creative Scrappers sketch #127 I love that premade banner that comes in the kit. It is so fun and adds so much to any layout! I punched those little circles to make my larger circle scalloped. That was a pain! But I love the results. I added the pearls, the tag, the rub-on, and the Melissa Fances glittered hearts from my stash

I Adore You
And lastly, my card. I made this for my cousin that just had a baby. Her shower was on Saturday and after I gave her the card, I took it back so I could take a picture of it to share with you! I have to give it back to her now! lol This is loosely based on a card that Martha has on display at her store. I scrapped there on Friday while I was working on my kit and lifted that display card.

Smitten Card
Whew! That was long! Lots to work with in this kit! I love it. I hope you love yours too! Have you made any projects with MME Lost and Found papers? I would love a link to see them or your latest projects!

October Scrapbook Daisies Kit Reveal
Tomorrow is so busy for me that I thought I would upload these tonight.
This is a really cute kit. Lots of fun papers and bright colors. It is perfect for me and the ages of my kids. I loved working with this line!
Here is what I have made for this month.

Payton, last year. She was a lady bug and I took this picture with my phone. The black letters and purple gems are from my stash and the green paper behind her is from an October kit last year. Everything else from the kit.

You already saw this one. This was Kylie last year as a cow girl with a water gun in her pocket! That black and white flower is made from one of the new Bo Bunny wraps. It is made with that same tecnique that Ly showed on her card video. The only thing added from my stash is the baker's twine.

And here is Wade, also last year, with a knee pad on his head for a hat. Lol. He saw this page and asked me if he could wear that shirt. This one has lots of Glimmer Mist on it and looks so sparkly in real life. The doilies are from my stash. I think the buttons are from my stash too, but I really don't remember, lol. My desk got pretty messy as I was working!

These are some of my kids and some of their cousins getting ready to trick or treat in the neighborhood shopping center. I used some of the packaging for the journaling strips.

Cousins making cookies on the trick or treat shopping trip. The round circle is from last year's kit and the gems are from my stash. I cut one of the journaling papers in half to be on top and bottom of the photos.
Lastly, I used one sheet of the pattern paper to make this banner. I punched a tiny edge of cardstock for the bottom of each card then strung them together on one piece of baker's twine. So simple and I love it.

I even have another layout that I haven't taken a picture of yet. This kit is so easy to use and you can make so much with it! I loved it. (I love every kit!
)
If you aren't a kit subber yet, you should be! Check out the details on subbing here: http://www.scrapbookdaisies.net/shop/
