My September Layouts with We R Memory Keepers Show and Tell Line

That is such a long title for this post! lol    But it accurately says what this month's layouts were created with!

And before I share the layouts, did you know that scrapbookdeals4u.com is now scrapbookdaisies.net???  Woohoo!  Martha, the owner, is openning a brick and mortar store in Long Beach on Studebakker and Los Coyotes diagnal.  Soon, very soon, you will be able to touch and feel everything in her store before you buy it.  How exciting is that!

So, in order to stream line everything, she merged the real store with the online kit club and made one new name.

Here is a new blinkie for the new site!

Enjoy!

Image

If you are a follower of me or Martha or the store's blog and you post this blinkie on your blog, facebook, Willow Traders, wherever you can, Martha will entry you into a RAK! Leave me a comment if you post the blinkie somewhere.

Now, on to my September layouts.

All of these pictures are from the 2009 school year, not this year.  I did these layouts right before school actually started here.

Image
Everything in this one from the kit except the splatters of Glimmer Mist.

Image
I layed the shaped paer upside down on the orange cardstock and misted around it.  This gave the cardstock the image of the shaped paper without having to use the paper on just one layout!  This is Wes at the start of 1st grade last year.

Image
I want Kylie it write on the lined paper, I just haven't got her to do it yet.  Everything from the kit except the brown letters spelling "of"
Image
Standing in front of the garage door before school started on the first day.  We had no idea at this time that we would move twice during this school year!  Crazy.

Image
I tried painting in the apples in the sticky felt boarder. I wish I would have painted first and laid the felt over the top.  It would have been neater.  Oh well.  I used a mixture of crackle paint and glimmer mist.  I also used stickles for the stem and leaves. And here is the shaped paper that I misted the back of on the previous layout.

And then I told Kylie I would help her dress up her plain binder. This is what we created:

I think it turned out pretty cute and she LOVES it! Makes this momma happy!

And finally, here are 2 cards I made with the kit.

Isn't this kit fun?  I love it.

It also came with this paper:
See that one on the right?  The blocks?  I cut that all apart and glued them into a little ABC book for Wade.  I gave it to him today and he was so excited.  He kept talking about his "special" book!  So cute!

Anyway, I hope you love this kit too (hopefully you got it!).  Its so fun.  And I hope you come check out the new site, scrapbookdaisies.net!

My September

I got the school kit to work with this month. Its the Show and Tell line by WRMK and I love it. The colors are really fun. I love the purple in it! I was able to scrap last year's first day of school photos and it made me a little excited for this year to start! I'm still going to miss summer though! Only a few days left.

Anyway, here are my sneaks of my first 3 projects:

My August Layouts with 72 & Sunny

This is a really fun kit! I love the colors and patterns. I have made 6 layouts so far and 1 card.  Here are the layouts!  I didn't take a picture of the card yet.

Aug 2010
A recent picture of my family, taken June 2010

Aug 2010
All of my family, my parents, my siblings, the in laws, and all the cousins. This is taken the same day as my family picture above. I added the butterfly from my stash, the stickles, and the Thickers.

Aug 2010
These 3 were born within 10 days of each other. Wade was the first on 5/15, then Eli on 5/21, then Abby on 5/25. We have so many pics of them all together. This is just another try at getting 3 three year olds to all smile and look at the camera at the same time! Wade, then Abby, then Eli in the picture.

I added some Prima's from my stash as well as Glimmer Mist, scraps of Bella Blvd All Inclusive, and Stickles on a few of these next layouts.  Heree is the first one:
Aug 2010
Cali Vacation- my niece and Kylie at the beach in 2006.

Then some pics from the same day at the beach featuring Wes mostly.
Aug 2010
Tip-If your title is too long for the place you want it to go, cut it!

And, these pics are from a birthday party in the early 80s. I'm in one of the pics and still keep in touch with most of these people. It was my brother's party. If you go to the gallery and click on the layout, check out the clothes. Cracks me up! The little boy in the vest and glasses is a very wealthy business owner now!

TIP:Use the felt that your stick pins come on to cut leaves for your layouts!

Such a great kit! I hope you love yours as much as I loved mine!

SD4U partnering withMy Sketch World

Scrapbookdeals4u.com has always hosted a sketch challenge.  In the beginning it was once a month using a PageMaps sketch.  Then we expanded to twice a month, using a Kristine Davidson sketch and a PageMaps sketch.  We have expanded again and now offer 3 sketch challenges each month.  We have added My Sketch World!

We post the same sketch on the first of the month as My Sketch World posts.  Anyone that completes the sketch can upload it to My Sketch World AND scrapbookdeals4u.  Its just like killing 2 birds with one stone!

This month was my turn to do the 1st of the month sketch so I got to use a Lucy Chesna sketch (She is the owner of My Sketch World!)

Here is the sketch:

And here is my sample . . .

Image
My only layout from the Old Glory Kit with 4th of July pictures! I added lots here from my stash. The SR grid paper, the MR chipboard rings and circles, most of the buttons, and the light blue pompom trim.

Thanks Lucy and My Sketch World for this fun partnership. :blow:

I'd love to see what you can create! :scrapper:

My July Layouts

I loved the Old Glory kit from Scrapbookdeals4u.com this month. Anything Americana is so fun to play with around the 4th of July and this kit was just that!  Even though  I didn't scrap actual pictures of parades and fireworks, this kit still worked with other pages and topics.

Here is what I created:

Image

I went to Payton's class when they celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday in March. This is a picture from that event. I misted the cardstock with a red mist in my stash. I pinked the edges of the 6x6 paper with some old deco scissors! I cut one of the journaling cards into 2 pieces to go on the top and bottom of the photo. Then those stars. . . they are misted with several colors, sprinkled with fine glitter and topped with Glossy accents. Here is a close up-

Image
A recent school picture of my older boy, Wes.

Image
I just love all the banners people have been using on layouts lately. I thought I would try one out myself. I added the buttons and heart gems from my stash. The beige ribbon is from my stash too.

Image
Picture of Weston's first baseball team on opening day this year. Is there anything more Americana than baseball?

Image
A rather old picture of dh's side of the family. Added those Maya Road ribbon slides and the Jenni Bowlin journaling spot from my stash.

So actually, none of these are 4th of July pictures!

I do have one more layout and it is from the 4th.  I'll post it in a new post.

My June Layouts

I think I forgot to post these . . .

Image
My kids at Knott's Berry Farm at the end of last summer.

Image
Some older pictures I found of Kylie when she was in pre-school. These are from 2005-2006. I used sketch 57 for this layout too!

Image
I used the journaling cards as pattern paper for this layout.

This is a picture of my newly turned 3 year old Wade just after his birthday! My local Target has a portrait studio and they take great pictures!  He has the longest lashes!
