Design Team Call!

Do you have what it takes to become a design team member at SD4U?? We are looking for a few stand out scrappers to join our team and serve from July-December 2010.

So . . . If you think you have what it takes, read on below for the details.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
The existing SD4U Design Team is looking for 2 creative, outgoing, talented fresh faces to inspire our members and join our team. We will be accepting submissions through June 30th, 2010. The new designers will be announced once they have been contacted and have accepted their positions (hopefully by July 2nd). The design team position will be from July through December 2010. We keep our Design Team Members very busy with lots of activities, such as designing with monthly kits, blog posts, daily message board activities, classes and tutorials, participation in board challenges, etc.. Please consider the amount of time that will be required to fulfill your DT requirements when deciding to apply.

SD4U asks that you are not a design team member for more than 1 other kit clubs due to the amount of time required to fulfill your position appropriately. Also, we ask that you remain respectful of our business by not posting about other clubs or online stores on our message board or in your comments.

DESIGNER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

•Promoting SD4U whenever possible (Facebook, WillowTraders, Blogs, Our own site, scrapbook.com, twopeas, etc).

•Posting the SD4U blinkie and link on your personal blog.

•Posting photos of our monthly kits, along with samples of your work on your personal blog each month with a link back to either the store, or the message board. SD4U will in turn post a link to your blog on our site’s blog.

•Consistent daily participation on our message board.

•Designing at least 5 items per kit: 5 layouts or combination of 3-4 layouts and altered items or cards.

•Actively participate in creating at least 2 monthly tutorials or classes. Take your turn posting to the blog and Facebook when assigned also. We do a rotation with a calendar posted each month. It is your responsibility to check that calendar and follow up with your assignment.

•Actively participate in challenges and contests.

OUR DESIGNERS RECEIVE:

•A free kit every month containing the industry's latest and greatest products!

•Miscellaneous perks - free passes to CHA, special discounts, etc.!

•Designers term is through December 2010.

•Email 5 of your best and recent layouts and/or altered projects to info@scrapbookdeals4u.com
•Please include the following in your email:

1. Name, mailing address, phone number
2. Links to other online galleries that show your work (as well as your screen name)
3. Link to your blog.
4. A short bio of yourself including other DT's you have been on (or are currently on) and your current activity on any forums and message boards.
5. As previously stated, photos of 5 layouts and/or altered projects that you feel best represent your style. Layouts can be 12x12 or 8 1/2 X 11

Summer Camp!

Scrapbookdeals4u.com (http://www.scrapbookdeals4u.com/forums/) is ready for summer camp, Camp Rock style! This camp starts June 4th and will run through the end of July. It is going to be a ton of fun... Weekly challenges based on an Artist or a specific song will be completed and then voted on by the members at SD4U. Points will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. You can earn camp badges for participating, and earn points for commenting in the gallery, board participation, inviting your friends and playing games during camp!

The final challenge, our Camp Rock Final Jam, will be the last event and the grand prize winner will be the next Guest Designer at scrapbookdeals4u.com SD4U!!!!

June Kits at Scrapbookdeals4u

The June peaks are up at scrapbookdeals4u.com and here is a little info on the kit club there.

Scrapbookdeals4u is a no-commitment club. There is no minimum number of kits that you are required to purchase and your membership remains in effect until you cancel it. This is a month-to-month membership. With your membership, you will get a discount on the price of the kit, discount on shipping fees and your kit will include items that will be available only with the membership. If you need to skip your subscription, you will need to let Martha know by the 25th of the preceding month.

SD4U May Kit- Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety

I LOVE this kit! The pages were really fun to put together!

This is my first layout and it goes with my NSD challenge. (See the forum for more info!)

This is little Payton when she was about 6 months old. She is 5 1/2 now! The letters and buttons are from my stash and I cut the stars with my Cricut.

This layout has the other part of the stars!

I glimmer misted the red cardstock before I adhered the stars with foam tape and the letters are from my stash. This is a really old picture that had been in a frame. That's Kylie when she was only 18 months old!

Here is another older picture!

This is from a trip to Sea World in 2003. This was before Wes was 1 so Kylie was 2 1/2. Letters and buttons from my stash (probably an older kit!).

And these are my 3 school kids!

These are their spring pictures so they just took them. Kylie is 9 1/2, Wes is 7 1/2, and Payton is 5 1/2! Letters and brads from my stash too.

I have so much more product still. I know I will be making some more layouts with this kit. It is really fun and a great kit!

Woohoo!!! Martha has done it AGAIN! The May kits have been revealed and WOW, they're sooooo fantastic!

April Kit Projects from Scrapbookdeals4u.com

This is a beautiful kit and it is stuffed with wonderful embellishments. I loved using them on my layouts this month.

Here are my first layouts:


The letters are from my stash. Those scalloped circles are punched from on of the papers in the kit.


There is a lot of glitter and Stickles on all these chipboard pieces. DT member Mette and I both placed an owl in our chipboard trees! How fun!


I had these Easter pics pulled out to use last month, but Kylie's purple shirt didn't work with the WeR papers. It worked great with this month's papers though! Those are lines of glitter between my papers too! It really sparkles in person. Those tiny strips between the glitter lines are the little strips that ares left over when you use a boarder punch!


All items from the kit except the black Thickers. Those are from a previous kit. That double scallop boarder strip is the on I punched to get the tiny strips on the above layout.

My March Layouts with Hippity Hoppity

Here is what I have made with the We R Memory Keepers "Hippity Hoppity" kit this month from scrapbookdeals4u.com. Unfortunately this kit is already sold out. Congrats to those of you that picked it up. It is wonderful! Almost every layout here is made with everything from the kit. I have added a few brads, flowers, and pieces of cardstock.
